Networked control workshop at IFAC World Congress, August 26, 2011.

Together with Alberto Bemporad, Maurice Heemels, Joao Hespanha, Vladimir Havlena and Dragan Nesic, we are organizing a workshop on "Networked Control Systems" at this year's IFAC World Congress. We will cover a range of topics, from technologies and models for wireless industrial communication to analysis and design of network-aware estimation, control and optimization algorithm. Please join us in Milan!

New project on sustainable infrastructures.
The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research has just granted us a new five-year research project on an ICT-Platform for Sustainable Infrastructures (ICT-Psi). We will develop new optimization and control techniques for large-scale infrastructures such as power and water distribution networks, and demonstrate our technologies on a high-fidelity simulation of the power distribution network in southern Sweden at the brink of a collapse. The project is a collaboration with Lund University and the Norwegian School of Economics. A project home page with more detailed information and results will soon be set-up.
